Terms and conditions
These terms explain how you may use this website and how quotations, orders, and services work when you engage ShutterLuxe Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order. For questions, contact us.
Website use
This website is provided for general information about our products and services in the United Kingdom. We aim to keep content accurate and up to date but we do not warrant that every description, image, or specification is complete or error-free. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or technical advice tailored to your property; a survey and written quotation form the basis of any contract.
Quotations and surveys
A quotation is an invitation to treat unless we state otherwise in writing. Quotations are usually based on a home visit or information you supply. We may revise a quotation if measurements, product choices, site conditions, or manufacturer pricing change before you accept. Written quotations set out the scope of work, products, and price; please read them carefully before you commit.
Orders and contract
An order becomes binding when we confirm it in writing (including by email) and any deposit or stage payment we require has been received in cleared funds, where applicable. Bespoke made-to-measure items are manufactured to your specifications; cancellation rights may be limited once production has started. We will explain timing and any deposit terms in your order paperwork.
Price and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. VAT is shown where applicable in line with UK rules. We may suspend work or delivery if agreed payments are not made on time. If a third-party finance or card provider is used, their terms may also apply.
Installation and access
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the installation areas, including parking where needed, clear working space, and mains power where required. If installation cannot proceed on the agreed date because of access, safety, or undisclosed site issues, we may need to reschedule and charge reasonable additional costs where we have incurred loss. We take care in your home but you are responsible for removing fragile or valuable items from the work area before we arrive.
Lead times and delays
Lead times are estimates and depend on product, finish, and supplier schedules. We are not liable for delays caused by manufacturers, carriers, weather, industrial action, or other events outside our reasonable control. We will keep you informed where delays occur.
Warranties
Product warranties are provided by the relevant manufacturer and are subject to their terms, fair use, and correct operation. Installation workmanship is covered as set out in your order documentation. Claims should be reported promptly so we can inspect and remedy issues where appropriate.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law. Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss (including loss of profit, goodwill, or business) arising from use of this website or our services. Our total liability in connection with a specific order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order, except where a higher minimum applies by law.
Intellectual property
All text, images, logos, and design on this website are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Privacy and cookies
Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies. They form part of your relationship with us when you use the site or our services.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For ongoing orders, the terms in force when you placed the order usually apply unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you may also benefit from mandatory protections in your local law.
