This Pontefract home had two stand-out features we were determined to get right: a generous five-sided bay in the lounge and a second bay in the bedroom, both with classic Georgian-bar glazing and curtains the owners still loved. The brief was not to rip out character, but to add a layer of proper window dressing that feels intentional — shutters that follow every angle of the bay, tilt for glare and privacy, and sit neatly with the existing poles and tie-backs. The before and after photographs tell the story better than words ever could: the same architecture and street view, now framed by full-height plantation shutters that brighten the rooms and make everyday living calmer.

Why this project suits plantation shutters on a bay
